Oris has had an incredible 2020, with new releases like the Big Crown Pointer Date Roberto Clemente LE and the Aquis featuring an all-new in-house movement, the impressive caliber 400. To discuss the new movement we sat with the brand’s Co-CEO Rolf Studer, who provides insight on the technical achievements made by Oris that allowed them to offer it with a 10 year warranty. The new movement should lay the groundwork for an exciting 2021 for Oris.

The Oris Caliber 400

The new movement represents a milestone for Oris, as it’s their first modern automatic movement, offering a full 5 days of reserve, along with providing magnetic protection thanks to more than 30 parts made of non-ferrous materials or non-magnetic alloys. You can read more about the movement itself here, and the Aquis it went into here. For more, enjoy the interview!
